A student candidate for Sheffield will be one of the youngest in the country at this year’s general election.
Thom Brown, aged 20, is standing for the Above and Beyond party - which is campaigning solely for the ‘none of the above’ option to be added to ballot papers - in Sheffield Central.
Labour MP Paul Blomfield currently holds the seat.
Thom, who is a politics and philosophy student at The University of Sheffield and lives in the city centre, said: “I took this opportunity because of conversations with my peers, but I’m really looking forward to meeting other university students as well as the wider community in Sheffield.
“I want to help raise a debate about issues of how we are governed.”
