A drug user caught with 10 bags of strong skunk cannabis has been jailed for eight months.
The drugs were discovered in 25-year-old Dane William Hill’s flat in West Quadrant, Firth Park, Sheffield, when it was raided by police last December.
Sheffield Crown Court heard the cannabis was in tins in the kitchen.
It was divided into £10 deals but Hill said it was for his own use. He later admitted he’d been dealing, and borrowed money from a loan company to pay for the drugs.
Sheffield Crown Court heard he received £180 a month in benefits, but spent £200 on alcohol and £84 on cigarettes, and also bought cannabis.
Hill, now of Roman Ridge, Wincobank, admitted supplying cannabis. The court heard both his parents had died and he’d turned to cannabis to cope.
