Sheffield does not encourage tourists to visit

Have your say

We cross over from the Isle of Man and travel down by motorway and look forward to our stay, shopping, going to the many cinemas, ice skating and all that Sheffield has to offer.

Everyone should be very proud of Sheffield because it has so much to offer and do.

Our last trip, at Christmas, was blighted when we were charged full fare on the bus for our children. The journey from the bottom of London Road to the Crucible cost more than £5.

I complained, to the driver and to a member of staff at the interchange, that visiting children should not be penalised because they don’t have the necessary pass to prove they are eligible for half fares. They both apologised but that’s the way it is. I am very disappointed Sheffield council feels it has to charge visiting children full fares. This is not encouraging visitors and holiday makers to your beautiful and vibrant city.

Sheffield does not encourage tourists to visit

My wife, two children and I are frequent visitors to Sheffield, holidaying there at least three times a year, staying with family near London Road.

We cross over from the Isle of Man and travel down by motorway and look forward to our stay, shopping, going to the many cinemas, ice skating and all that Sheffield has to offer.

Everyone should be very proud of Sheffield because it has so much to offer and do.
