THE world watched in horror as the catastrophe unfolded in Japan this year – and that was particularly so for two Sheffield businessmen.

For many years Tony Knight and John Wordsworth of Europa Subaru dealership at Granville Square have forged strong links with the Japanese manufacturers who supplied their customers’ needs.

So the two directors didn’t need asking twice when Subaru set up a countrywide cycle challenge to raise money for the relief appeal following the earthquake, tsunami, and resulting nuclear power plant disaster which rocked the nation.

Tony and John cycled 50 miles from Sheffield to Subaru’s dealership in Nottingham and raised £1,000 thanks to the generosity of fellow staff and customers.

“We’re pleased we’ve done our bit and want to thank everyone for their generosity and support.”
