Little Seren Plafreyman has danced her way into a top ballet school.

The talented seven-year-old, from Mosborough, Sheffield, beat-off stiff competition during a nerve-racking audition to secure a place at Elmhurst Associates Dance School in Manchester.

Seren has been dancing at Susan’s Dance Studio in Eckington since she was three and is one of the youngest dancers to be picked to attend the prestigious ballet school.

Her proud parents Robert and Kerry said the phone call to say Seren had got in came as quite a shock.

Kerry said: “With her being one of the youngest we weren’t sure she would get a place - Seren was quite shocked herself.

“We are incredibly proud of her and she can’t wait to get started.

“She’s always liked dancing and would like to be a professional dancer.”

She will attend Elmhurst every Saturday.
