A Sheffield man who was found in the middle of the street with life-threatening injuries is still in a critical condition.

The man, aged 65, was found on the ground with his pedal cycle nearby in Neepsend Lane, Sheffield.

He was found by a member of the public on the ground shortly before 6.30am on January 14.

It is not known how the man came to be in the road or whether he was struck by a vehicle and enquiries are still ongoing to establish what happened.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “He is still in a critical condition in hospital.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
