Four Sheffield Labour councillors are joining the Movember campaign in support of men’s cancer charities.

Cabinet members Harry Harpham, Leigh Bramall, Jack Scott and Mazher Iqbal will compete to see who can grow the best moustache whilst helping to raise vital funds and awareness for prostate cancer and testicular cancer appeals.

The councillors willl be supported by female cabinet members who will take on the role of ‘Mo Sistas’, who will help raise sponsorship.

Coun Harpham, deputy council leader, said: “As well as being a bit of fun it gives us the opportunity to highlight awareness of men’s health which is a very important and often unspoken about issue. I think the Movember campaign has done and is continuing to do a great job at changing attitudes and habits relating to men’s health.”
