Remembrance time is here again. Poppies are on sale and services up and down the country have been arranged.
The Sheffield Civic Remembrance Parade will, of course, be on Sunday, November 8, in Barker’s Pool.
This years event is particularly poignant, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1 and the 70th of WW2.
Therefore a good turn out of the public, in remembrance of all those who gave their lives is requested, and all ex-servicemen and women are invited on to the Parade.
We form up on Holly Street - towards the rear of City Hall at 10.30 and march to the Cenotaph at 10.50.
For those in wheel chairs, or with walking difficulty, please not that stewards will direct you to a special enclosure.
It will be announced that members of the public, not in the Parade, but wishing to lay an appropriate wreath, may do so, but not until after the Parade has marched off.
