Sheffield City Region 'must tackle health inequality to succeed'

This is a ground-breaking initiative to finally tackle age-old problems which most Sheffielders have recognised for decades.

It is seemingly simple stuff which will make the world of difference.

Together this city can help families break the cycle of poverty, poor education based on neighbourhood and unskilled adults.

We led the industrial revolution and will step up our role in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 – digital, manufacturing, innovation, talent and bright ideas. The prospectus also includes better public transport and a target of not only catching up with other areas, but making our economy stronger than the national average by 2032.

It is bold, ambitious and just what Sheffield has been crying out for – but every one of us must back it to make it succeed.
