FELLOW famous names from Sheffield helped Michael Vaughan add to his fundraising total.

A charity auction held in the corporate marquee at Abbeydale Sports Club raised thousands of pounds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity and the Michael Vaughan Cricket Academy.

Homegrown heptathlete Jess Ennis donated a pair of spike shoes she wore during London 2012, which fetched £1,000.

Sheffield artist Pete McKee pledged two specially-commissioned pieces. The winning bidder paid £1,925 for the privilege.

Meanwhile Vaughan’s sporting pal Gary Neville gave a prize package for one lucky person to watch England train and play a game at Wembley.
