THE future is bright for one Sheffield schoolboy who celebrated a very special birthday this week.
Lewis Parry celebrated his 12th birthday on Wednesday - 12/12/12 and that is unusual enough.
But he should have been born on another special date, Christmas Day, but he came along a little earlier than expected.
Lewis was born at the Northern General Hospital in Fir Vale, weighing just 4lb 12oz.
His mum Manda decided to call him after the student doctor who delivered him – Leston Lewis – as little Lewis was the first baby the doctor had brought into the world.
Lewis, from Shiregreen, attends Forge Valley community School.
Like most boys his age Lewis enjoys spending time on his Xbox games console while watching cartoons
Manda said: “His favourite meal is Sunday Dinner. He’s happy having it three times a week if I would let him.
“He loves going to his grandparents in Barnsley, where he plays with his best friend, Yanex.
“He also enjoys going to the park with his dad and big brother Joshua, 13.
For a birthday surprise Lewis was taken bowling.
Manda said: “Lewis had eight strikes in two games, and won both games too.”
And to celebrate both his big day and his bowling success Lewis and his friends enjoyed a trip to a fast-food restaurant.
