A SHEFFIELD boxer was jailed for 16 years today for murder after attacking a father-of-two outside a city bar.
Bradley Hinkler, aged 20, of Kilvington Road, Woodthorpe, was sentenced after being found guilty of the murder of 26-year-old Thomas Gower, from Gleadless, after a trial two weeks ago.
He was also sentenced to a six year jail term, to run concurrent to his minimum tarif for murder, for an attack on one of Mr Gower’s friends on the same night.
Both men were punched by Hinkler outside the Alibi bar at junction of Trippet Lane and Holly Street on December 18, last year.
Mr Gower, who had two young sons, lost his fight for life eight days later after never regaining consciousness.
