A decision on changes to Sheffield’s waste services - which could introduce shared bins - has been pushed back.
The shake-up to save £3.4m a year, which also includes proposals to introduce charges for replacement black bins and garden containers, went out to consultation earlier this year.
Shared bins could be introduced in some ‘transient’ communities like student areas.
A decision was originally due earlier this month, then consultation results were expected by the end of May,.
Now a decision is expected in the ‘next few weeks’ after the cabinet member responsible changed from Coun Jayne Dunn to Coun Terry Fox.
It is expected to be made privately rather than in a public meeting.
