Staff from a Sheffield banking giant took time off from selling mortgages to help transform a farm in the city.
Lloyds Bank mortgage staff have spent one day at Heeley City Farm so far and have offered to spend another day there later in the month.
The volunteers are also due to help out at the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice charity shop in Sheffield tomorrow.
Those who helped out at Heeley City Farm renovated three flower beds used to stock plants for sale at the farm. They also helped to install a new irrigation system .
Avril Clark, Lloyds Banking Group team manager, said: “Supporting Heeley City Farm and Bluebell Wood as part of Lloyds group’s ‘Day to Make a Difference’ initiative is exciting for us and we are happy to be actively contributing our time in the local community.
“We are looking forward to being involved in similar initiatives in years to come.”
