A local artist was so moved by her experience of getting involved with Sheffield charity the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind (SRSB) that she Photo: Kath and Ray discussing the paintings with one of SRSB's clients was inspired to paint and donate some original tactile artworks. Kath Lawrence and her husband Ray who provide entertainment for local groups as part of a voluntary trio, visited SRSBs centre last year to perform their "It Could Be Verse", which is a programme of original humorous verses and monologues. It was following the visit that Kath felt she wanted to create images with SRSBs clients in mind.

An artist who got involved with a Sheffield charity was so inspired by its work she painted and donated some original pieces.

Kath Lawrence created ‘tactile artworks’ for Sheffield Royal Society For The Blind after visiting the centre to put on some entertainment.

The images are not mounted behind glass so users of the centre can experience the paintings by touch.
