PEOPLE can’t help but take a shine to sweet Sassie with her sunny nature.
This adorable two-and-a-half year old German Shepherd, is just waiting for the right person to come along to offer her the caring home she deserves.
RSPCA Sheffield branch animal care manager Tony Benham said: “Sassie is an inquisitive and intelligent dog with a sunny nature who really charms you the instant you meet her.
“Whilst being a young dog, she is very soulful with beautiful amber eyes and she shines when you meet her.”
When Sassie was brought in, she was underweight and nursing a litter of eight pups.
But she has done marvellously as a mum and is now ready to find a caring home of her own.
Sassie seems to prefer female company but she is making progress when it comes to meeting men.
As she can be a little nervous of meeting new people, she would be best with children over 16.
Said Tony: “Once she has got to know you, which doesn’t take long, she is incredibly loving and affectionate and she enjoys a good fuss and a groom of her soft fluffy, fur.
“Sassie adores playing with tennis balls and there is something very appealing about her.
“We feel certain that someone would really take to her, if they came along to the centre to see her.”
RSPCA Sheffield is open every day except Wednesday from 12.30pm until 3.30pm.
