A low-carbon developer wants people in Sheffield to share their waste-reducing, energy-saving tips - with the people behind the top five ideas winning a stylish Little Kelham bag for life.
Citu, the company behind the Little Kelham development in Kelham Island, is encouraging people to come forward with their household tips for cutting the amount of energy and resources we waste.
Aisling Ramshaw, marketing director at Citu, said: “Since the recent 5p charge on all single-use plastic shopping bags, we’ve probably all been in a situation where we have to choose whether to pay for a bag, or find another way of getting our purchases home.
“One way of escaping the 5p charge, and helping the environment, is through the use of re-usable bags. This is a small change which can make a big difference, and we want to hear more household tips. We’re not after the big, expensive changes, but rather the little things which everyone can do. It could be a tip about how to reduce how much water you use in your home, cutting down on electricity usage, or a way to minimise food waste.”
