A SERVICE is to be held to celebrate the life of a Sheffield man killed in an attack outside a city centre bar.

Thomas Gower, aged 26, of Morland Close, Gleadless Valley, died after suffering serious head injuries outside the Alibi bar on the corner of Trippet Lane and Holly Street on Saturday December 18.

The father-of-two was rushed to hospital but died from his injuries on Boxing Day.

His fiancee Emma and family have planned a celebration of his life to be held at City Road Crematorium next Tuesday February 1 at 10.45am.

A 20-year-old man arrested over the attack has been bailed pending further enquiries.
