Seminars to help gamblers
EVENTS are taking place around South Yorkshire this week to help people with gambling problems.
Members of Gamblers Anonymous are handing out flyers in the streets of central Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster, giving details of where to turn for advice and support.
Two seminars are being held in Sheffield on Friday, at Aizlewoods Mill on Nursery Street at 1.15pm and 3pm, so professionals who help compulsive gamblers can find out what the service offers.
On Saturday, Gamblers Anonymous members are setting up a stall near Sainsbury's on The Moor, handing out advice literature.
The same day, anyone wishing to discuss their problem is to be directed to Victoria Hall, off Chapel Walk, where experienced members of the organisation will be available for a chat.
