Seaside fun for Rotherham children with coach trip

Sandcastles, egg and spoon races and paddling in the surf were all the order of the day when families went on a trip to the seaside.

Staff from repairs and maintenance firm Willmott Dixon’s Rotherham branch organised a coach trip to Scarborough to celebrate Playday, a national event highlighting the importance of play in children’s lives.

Families from the Rotherham area have enjoyed a day trip to Scarborough thanks to Willmott Dixon Partnerships community team.
 
Willmott Dixon teamed up with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council social services team to identify and offer local families the chance to enjoy a fun-filled day of seaside activities.

More than 100 youngsters and their families were treated to a day of activities on the beach, as well as being bought their lunch and ice creams.
