CHARITY Age UK Sheffield is turning to the world of commerce in its search for a new chair of the board.
Current chairman Paul Gilmartin is stepping down – and the charity is contacting chief executives and board members of major Sheffield employers in its search for someone to replace him.
The voluntary role supports the Sheffield management team, demanding an average of one day a month.
Chief executive Rosalind Eve said: “We’re an energetic organisation with a track record of innovating. We’re hoping to recruit a dynamic new chair from the world of commercial enterprise in Sheffield, who likes to embrace risk but is sensitive to our values.” Call 0114 2502858.
