A MAN with a troubled past has been reported missing after catching a bus.
Doncaster police today appealed for information about the whereabouts of Rory Robinson, who does not have a fixed address.
His last accommodation was at the M25 hostel in Wharf Road, Wheatley, but he has not been seen since Thursday, January 12.
Mr Robinson, who is aged 45, was last seen that day at approximately noon, getting a bus from Doncaster to Barnsley. It is not known whether he arrived in Barnsley.
He has often lived rough and in 2007 suffered serious injuries after a gang of three men attacked him while he was sleeping in a tent under St George’s Bridge.
Two of them were jailed for the attack, which saw Mr Robinson taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where he needed treatment for a wound to the back of his head and injuries to his nose, chin and jaw.
He is of average height and a thin build with a local accent. He also walks with a slight limp.
If anyone has any information or believe they may have seen Rory, they are asked to contact the police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 759 of 14/01/2012.
