PROPERLY kitted out with helmets and gumshields, the lads at Dronfield Rugby Club have something to smile about.
That’s because the club has been awarded the RFU’s Mini and Youth Seal of Approval accreditation for the standard of its provision of rugby for young players.
Clubs must demonstrate evidence of good practice in club management, player development, child protection, sports equity and coaching, refereeing and volunteering.
Community rugby director Andrew Scoular said: “This accreditation will show that Dronfield Rugby Club is providing its young people with a safe, well-organised and enjoyable environment in which to learn and play.”
A spokesman for the club praised staff and added: “This award would not have been possible without the dedication and effort shown by all the coaching and organising staff.”
