RESIDENTS from a Sheffield care home tucked into neeps, tatties and haggis at a Burns Event extravaganza.

Staff at Eagle House in Sharrow Vale organised a banquet and celebrations to mark the 252nd birthday of Scottish poet Robert Burns.

The haggis was ‘piped in’ in traditional manner by resident Ed Arnold, and fellow OAP Colin Chisolm made a toast to the haggis and said the ‘Selkirk Grace’.

Chef manager Sue Sides said: “The residents thoroughly enjoyed tucking into the traditional Scottish fare.”
