A PENSIONER involved in a collision when she was riding her mobility scooter through Eckington is still in hospital recovering from her injuries.

The 79-year-old suffered a broken hip, broken shoulder and broken arm in the crash with a dark green Land Rover at the junction of West Street and Berry Avenue at 1.15pm on Thursday, August 18.

She was taken to hospital for treatment for her injuries and is expected to remain there for some time.

Police investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision are trying to trace the driver of the Land Rover - a man who stopped to ask the woman’s family details but who drove off before officers could speak to him about what had happened.
