TOP academics will take people in Sheffield on a voyage of scientific discovery.
The University of Sheffield is hosting Is Science Magic? - an event which tries to establish whether the world’s problems can be solved with science - as part of the city’s Festival of the Mind.
There will be a debate as to whether promising developments can help cure disease or provide the answer to issues such as climate change.
The event takes place in the festival’s Spiegeltent in Barker’s Pool on Wednesday, September 26.
Professor Richard Jones, The University of Sheffield’s pro-vice-chancellor for research and innovation, said: “We will be exploring, with the help of our audience, not just what science can and can’t do, but what it should and should not do.”
