Schoolgirl wins contest

A Sheffield schoolgirl has won a place in a national beauty pageant where the winner will be flown to America.

Molly Winton, aged 17, won the title of Miss Teen Sheffield Galaxy and will now compete in the national final of Miss Teen Galaxy England.

The teenager will complete against teenage girls from all over the country in the contest, with the winner of all the UK’s regional finals taking part.

Molly said: “I am so excited to have made it to the final, it is a great achievement and I am so proud to be representing Sheffield.”

The beauty pageant final is to be held in at the Park Hall Hotel, Lancashire, in February.

The winner of Miss Teen Galaxy England will travel to Florida, America, with contestants from all over the world, to compete in the Miss Galaxy International final, which will be held next summer.

Molly, a student and Deputy Head Girl at Bradfield School, Bradfield, is sponsored by fashion retailer Quiz Clothing, where Molly works part-time as a sales assistant.

She added: “To make the most of my time as Miss Teen Sheffield Galaxy, I’d love to support my community by attending local charity and fundraising events so please get in touch if you’d like me to appear.”
