Elderly residents in Sheffield enjoyed an afternoon of festive fun thanks to a home care provider.

Dozens of people tucked into a Christmas dinner at Woodseats Methodist Church, Woodseats and enjoyed an afternoon of festive entertainment.

Schoolchildren from nearby Abbey Lane Primary School attended and sang a variety of traditional Christmas carols, much to the delight of elderly guests.

The event was organised by Serenta Homecare, of Archer Road, Millhouses, Sheffield.

About 80 people attended the event, including clients of the care firm who receive support in their homes.

Staff and carers also got in on the Christmas spirit donning fancy dress costumes including snowmen and elf outfits.

The event is one of several get-togethers organised by Serenta Homecare during the year for its clients in Sheffield.
