Schoolboy has serious injuries after smash

A teenager who was hit by a car on his way to school is in hospital being treated for serious injuries.

The 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital following the crash in Maltby, Rotherham, yesterday.

He was on his way to school at around 8.25am when he was in collision with a black Mini Cooper, being driven by a 26-year-old woman from Maltby, on High Street.

Police are urging witnesses to the collision, which took place opposite the Full Life Church, to come forward.

n Anyone who saw the collision, which took place on the A631 High Street, should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 with any information, quoting incident number 165 of March 13.
