School 'adopt' police horse

A SCHOOL in Brinsworth has adopted a police horse named after the Rotherham suburb.

The horse, which joined South Yorkshire Police in April, will meet pupils at Brinsworth Manor Infant and Junior school on Tuesday.

PC Tracey Brown, who rides Brinsworth, said: "It's great to get children positively involved and interacting with the police and having the school 'adopt' Brinsworth is one way we can start to build lasting relationships with young people."
