Weird and wonderful props are needed for a school’s version of a grisly musical.
High Storrs School in Sheffield is to stage Sweeney Todd: School Edition at The Crucible on July 5 and 6.
The entire school has pulled together to put on the show, but there are a few items still needed to make it as authentic as possible.
Drama leaders are appealing for Star readers to lend the school any pewter mugs or tankards, old-style rolling pins, or Victorian-style birdcages they may have.
More unusual items also needed include an old tin drum with strap and drum sticks, two barber’s razor sharpening strops, and a Victorian style barber’s chair.
Teacher Carl Jeffrey, leader in learning for drama, said: “We’re putting the finishing touches to our show at The Crucible theatre and have come across some items on the prop list which are proving difficult to acquire.
“Anyone who can help us with these weird and wonderful items would be greatly appreciated!”
