A RIBBON-cutting ceremony took place to mark the opening of a £135,000 building project at Stocksbridge Nursery Infant School in Sheffield.

Work included extending offices and the introduction of a new secure access key fob system to the school.

Following the ceremony there was a prize-giving to recognise the efforts of pupils who walked to school during a two-month initiative.

Contractors Kier donated bikes and helmets to the winners.
