VISITORS to a Sheffield play centre were even more excited when a special guest turned up.

Children and their carers who attened a party at the Runaround Adventure Play Centre, Holbrook Rise, Halfway, got to meet Father Christmas himself when he popped along to join in the fun.

Santa Claus arrived at the centre on his famous sleigh and was escorted on his visit by a number of his favourite elf friends.

Their visit was part of a day which saw children have loads of fun.

And it was all in a very good cause.

The party was arranged to support the work the NSPCC carries out in Sheffield.

And partygoers were supported by local people, organisations and businesses who rallied to the cause by donating 100 gifts to the charity.

Anna Miller, Runaround spokeswoman, said: “The NSPCC do so much good work here.

“We received more than 100 gifts for them – which is a lovely outcome.”
