THE Salvation Army in Sheffield needs help to raise funds for its annual appeal.
Members, friends and volunteers will be out and about collecting money to support their programme of social and community work.
This year, the theme for the appeal is Mending Broken Lives, and highlights the practical support and professional help on offer.
Major Paul Westlake, from The Salvation Army’s Sheffield Citadel, said: “This has been a particularly hard year for many people.
“The Salvation Army has supported those who have lost their job and don’t know where to turn to next, those who have lost their home and ended up on the street, those who are older and desperately lonely, and those fragile families and individuals who are struggling to get by.”
