Safety equipment and clothing specialist Arden Winch has won a five-figure contract to supply Nottingham City Homes.

The Sheffield-based company will supply all the safety equipment and clothing used by employees of the Nottingham business, which is responsible for repairs, rent collection and management of 29,000 homes owned by Nottingham City Council.

The deal is one of the first to be won through Efficiency East Midlands (EEM), the procurement agency which arranges supplies for predominantly East Midlands-based housing organisations.

Steve Barker, managing director of Arden Winch, which celebrates its 200th anniversary this year, said: “The contract is significant for us and continues the company’s success in recent years.

“The partnership with EEM could see more public sector organisations access our services across the region.”

Arden Winch already has operations in Nottingham and a centre in Featherstone, West Yorkshire, in addition to its headquarters in Sheffield.
