Safe landing for parachute jump lawyer
A PERSONAL injury lawyer jumped out of a plane – and landed safely, raising £1,150 for charity.
It was third time lucky for Michelle Gyte and colleague Louise Scorah, of Raleys solicitors in Barnsley, who completed the skydive after the first two attempts were scuppered by bad weather.
Michelle, a clinical negligence specialist, said: "It was an amazing feeling, finding the nerve to actually jump out of the plane and then feeling yourself rush towards the ground.
"It was a totally bizarre experience, but one that will live with me forever."
The pair jumped to raise funds for Action Against Medical Accidents, a charity which helps hospital patients who have suffered medical accidents.
Michelle added: "Louise and I have both worked with patients who have needed help and assistance from AMA, and we have seen first-hand the difference their support can make.
"The generosity of everyone has been fantastic, and we're thrilled to have raised so much."
