Three budding entrepreneurs from Sheffield have returned from an all-expenses paid trip to Russia after succeeding in an enterprise competition.
Ecclesfield School pupil Billy Langard, aged 15, travelled to Moscow as the winner of the BiG Challenge, which gives young people the chance to start their own firm with an initial investment of £25.
He was joined by runners-up Chikumo Fiseko and Callum Willis, students at Longley Park Sixth Form College.
Billy said: “It was an amazing trip. It really opened my eyes to the big business world out there.
“We are already planning a return visit.”
Billy’s winning business was called Raspberry Rock and was a specially designed case for the Raspberry Pi computer.
The challenge has been open to all schools and colleges in Sheffield for four years and is sponsored by DLA Piper, which paid for the trip.
Billy said: “I am a bit of a geek I suppose and developing a business in technology came naturally to me.”
