AND they’re off!
Runners descended on a Sheffield park to launch a new regular run which will take place each weekend.
Park Run, together with South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, are organising the five kilometre event at Concord Park in Shiregreen.
The run will be free to enter and will be held every week starting at 9am every Saturday morning.
The first run was launched in bright sunshine by boxer Ryan Rhodes.
Organiser Spencer Rowland said: “There is already a similar event taking place in Endcliffe Park and this is the second regular run to be launched in Sheffield.
“It offers an opportunity for the local community to come together on a regular basis to enjoy this beautiful park and get physically active.”
To register, you should email email@example.com by 6pm on the Friday before your first run. Participants can go for a coffee at Elm Lane Fire Station after their run.
