RUNNERS are on their marks for a popular charity fundraiser through a Sheffield park this weekend.

The Run in the Park event, organised in aid of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, is at Graves Park on Sunday and people of all ages and abilities will take on either a 10km race or a 3km fun run.

More than 1,000 runners have already signed up – the highest number since the event began in 2009.

Olympic medal winner Jocelyn Hoyte-Smith will be starting the 10km race, and taking part in the fun run.

Lyndsey Raynor, fundraiser at Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, said: “It is a fantastic event and we would like to thank all our supporters who are taking part in Run in the Park.

“There will be a great atmosphere and the money will make a huge difference.”
