AN ENDURANCE runner will take on one of his biggest challenges to raise money for a disabled youngster.

Ultra-runner Dale ‘Ronnie’ Staton, from Lincolnshire, will complete a 200-mile run for two-year-old William Stones, from Retford, left disabled after he went into cardiac arrest during an operation when he was 14 months.

William lives in Retford but receives the majority of his care in Sheffield.

Earlier this year, his father Dave organised a football tournament in the city’s Goals centre on Norfolk Park Road to raise funds for his care.

Ronnie will run from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in Yorkshire next June.
