HE’S used to mud - but a member of Sheffield Eagles Rugby Club was on the receiving end of a far stickier substance when they dropped in at Meadowhall.

Misi Taulapapa ended up covered in gunge when cult 90s gameshow Get Your Own Back came to the centre to film a series of live shows.

Original host Dave Benson Phillips has resurrected back his television hit for a limited run - and crowds of shoppers flocked to watch.

Eagles full back Misi was nominated for the gunge by Cory Aston, 15, one of the young rugby hopefuls he trains, for putting him through gruelling training exercises.

Misi was up against Eagles half back, Quentin Laulua-Togagae, whose son Phoenix, nine, wanted revenge on his dad for only letting him eat chocolate at Christmas.

The live games came to a tie break and Cory pipped Phoenix to the post, meaning Misi ended up in the gunge tank, to the delight of Cory and fans who came along to watch.

Three more Get Your Own Back shows will be staged at Meadowhall today, at 11am, 12.30pm and 3pm.
