PUPILS and staff at a Rotherham prep school have been busy organising charitable events as part of their Christmas celebrations.
A Christmas fair at Rudston School raised more than £250 for the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in North Anston, while other funds were raised for school schemes.
Pupils have also been donating food to local charity Shilo, which aims to help homeless people to rebuild their lives.
Staff meanwhile donated cash normally spent on Christmas cards to Sheffield’s Weston Park Hospital.
Pupils performed a candlelight carol service in Rotherham Minster, while a book sale organised by the pupils raised money to sponsor a guide dog and help Oxfam’s work in Africa.
