Caring people are being asked to help feed those in crisis at Christmas.

Rotherham’s Food for People in Crisis Partnership has launched its Christmas Appeal, which asks Rotherham residents to help where they can by gifting food, toiletries or money at various collection points throughout the borough.

The partnership consists of different organisations working across the borough offering food parcels and or hot meals and other support to those in need.

Vanessa Bryan, partnership support worker at Voluntary Action Rotherham, said: “We had a fantastic response to the Christmas Appeal last year, helping so many individuals and families who found themselves in difficult circumstances through no fault of their own, and we are hoping that this year we can help even more.”

Donation points for non-perishable food items and toiletries are located at venues throughout Rotherham, including Voluntary Action Rotherham, Dearne Fire Station, Maltby Customer Service Centre and Wath Community Library.

To donate money, or to request a donation box or collection, call Vanessa Bryan on 01709 829 821 or email vanessa.bryan@varotherham.org.uk
