A MAN had to be rescued from a house roof by firefighters after getting stuck during a DIY project.
The resident, in his fifties, had been carrying out some DIY on South Crescent, East Dene, Rotherham, when he became stuck on the roof.
It is thought another person in the house called the emergency services.
Two fire crews from Rotherham and Doncaster stations, along with an aerial appliance, attended the scene at around 2.20pm on Tuesday. A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the man had been replacing tiles on the roof when he got stuck.
