Roadworks set to cause delays for city motorists

RESURFACING, cable repairs, water and telecoms works will bring disruption to Sheffield’s roads.

Button Row, Stocksbridge, is closed temporarily between Johnson Street and Hope Street for resurfacing works from tomorrow until Thursday and nearby Nether Road will also have stop-go boards.

Claywheels Lane has temporary traffic signals outside Niagra Forge for water works tomorrow only, and Carlisle Street, Grimesthorpe, has signals for electricity cable repairs until October 10.

East Bank Road, Arbourthorne, has traffic lights from Hurlfield Road to East Road for water main works until September 26.

North Church Street, city centre, is closed at the junction of Campo Lane between tomorrow and Thursday.

Sicey Avenue, Shiregreen, has temporary stop and go boards for water main repairs tomorrow, while Psalter Lane, Nether Edge, has temporary traffic signals at the junction with Osborne Road from Wednesday to Friday.

Spital Hill, Burngreave, has a temporary lane closure on Wednesday.

Long Lane, Stocksbridge, is closed between Wind Hill Lane and Newhall Lane from Wednesday to Friday.

And on Wednesday, Beck Road, Shiregreen, is closed for maintenance.
