Motorists are facing delays to journeys along the M180 near Doncaster during road works.
The improvement work will begin on the westbound M180 between junction 1 and M18 junction 5 (Ings) on Saturday, August 10.
Resurfacing work will take place between 8pm and 6am until Monday, August 19.
There will be a combination of westbound carriageway and lane closures, overnight between M180 junctions 2 (Woodhouse) and the M18 junction 5 (Ings).
In addition, day time lane closures will be required between junction 1 and Ings junction on August 11 and 18.
Steven Wright, project manager for the Highways Agency, said: “This work will improve the road surface and journeys for drivers on the M180. We encourage all drivers to drive carefully along the diversion routes, keeping within the speed limit, and concentrating on the road ahead.”
During the closures clearly signed diversion routes will be in place.
M180 westbound traffic will be diverted off at junction 2 westbound exit slip road, turn right on to the A161 and proceed for one mile to the roundabout with the A18.
At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A18, continue for ten miles to the roundabout with Hatfield Lane. At the roundabout take the first exit, continue on the A630 for two miles to the junction with the M18 (junction 4).
