Rival Sheffield taxi firms in charity cricket match

Charity was the winner when two rival taxi firms in Sheffield went head to head in a cricket match.

Drivers from City Taxis and Mercury Taxis played in a match at Millhouses Works Cricket Club, Millhouses, and raised £337.52 for the Master Cutler’s Challenge.

City Taxis won the match – by just six runs.

Paul Gosney, City Taxis’ business development manager, said: “Hopefully we can make this an annual event and Mercury will have a chance to take the silver salver out of our hands.”
