They wanted to win the X Factor, they wanted to be stars...and after Friday night's X Factor Live gig at Sheffield's Arena they have all made it regardless of where they ended up in the final.

Fireworks, flames, backing dancers, dry ice and confetti showers ... the show was a spectacle.

Add Saara Aalto to the mix and the pop concert became akin to a theatrical performance. Whether she was floating above the crowd holding giant balloons or on enormous stilts she wowed the crowd and stole the show.

Winner Matt Terry also impressed, with his fans treated to an end of show set which raised the roof.

His winner's single, Prince's Purple Rain, Ed Sheeran's When Christmas Comes Along and Sam Smith's Writing's on the Wall showcased his vocals with his falsetto faultless.

And then there was Honey G.

If anyone was going to get the party going it was always going to be this infectious rapper.

With her trademark shades, cap and satin and sparkly tracksuits she didn't disappoint.

Flamboyant and unique, it was all about the performance for Honey G, with her famous "When I say Honey, you say G" catch line filling the Arena with her army of adoring fans screaming her name.

With a mix of hits they performed as they fought their way to the X Factor final and new covers of popular chart-toppers, the tour is the perfect explosion of pop to get the next generation interested in music.
