LADIES who worked at the old Park Ironworks and later at Davy United in Darnall are holding their annual get together on Tuesday, May 17.
The lunchtime reunion is open to all, but especially those who worked at Park near Norfolk Bridge, and who then moved to the new Davy premises at the bottom of Prince of Wales Road in 1958.
All the ladies are now in their late 70s to 90s, but will be meeting up again at the Davy United Sports Club from 11.30am until 2pm.
They will be having a catch up and a natter. An annual photo of the group will also be taken.
The women set up their group after they were not allowed to join a similar organisation for former employees of Davy-Ashmore, which was created after a merger in 1960. New members are welcome.
