MOTORISTS are warning of delays when resurfacing takes place at a junction on the M1 in Sheffield.
The work involves the northbound exit slip road at Junction 34, near Meadowhall, and starts next week.
The exit slip road will be closed overnight from Monday, June 13, to Monday, July 4, between 8pm and 6am.
During the work, the left hand lane of the motorway will also be closed on approach to the junction.
A Highways Agency spokesman said: “Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place during the closures.
“Traffic will be diverted further north on the M1 to Junction 35, at Thorpe Hesley, where drivers will be signposted to exit the motorway and then rejoin the M1 southbound to exit the motorway at Junction 34 southbound exit slip road.”
The agency said work was being carried out at night to ‘minimise disruption for drivers’.
